Unpacking Steps

Please instruct your supporters to plant all items upon delivery. When that isn't possible, instruct them to open the items packaged in plastic for improved ventilation until they are planted.

Find a flat surface, such as a table or floor.
Remove each package and sort by variety (Name, Letter and Label Color are all indicators).
After all packages are sorted, count them by variety.
Count each item.
Compare your count to the packing slip.
Double check your count with the packing slip and check off by variety.

Storing Bulbs & Plants

Spring Items

Strawberry Plants

For best results, plant immediately upon arrival.
If not possible to plant immediately: store in refrigerator.

Items Packaged in Plastic Bags

For best results, plant immediately upon arrival.
If not possible to plant immediately upon arrival, open the bag for ventilation and store in a cool, dry place until planted.

All Other Items

Store in a cool, dry place until planted.

Fall Items

All Items

For best results, plant upon arrival.
If received after the ground has frozen, place bulbs in a paper bag and place in refrigerator and plant in the spring.
