Fall Flower Bulbs Planting Guide

All bulbs shown in the Fall Fundraising Brochure are shipped with detailed planting instructions and should be planted prior to the ground freezing to a depth in excess of three inches. Please plan your fundraiser according to your area’s geographical climate (see map), and we will ship your items within two weeks of receipt of order.

Planting Instructions

Alpine Bells (10″-16″) Plant 4″ deep, 6 – 8″ apart in full sun.
Crocus (5″) Plant 3″ deep, 3″ apart in sun or partial shade.
Daffodils (18″-20″) Plant 7″ deep, 7″ apart in sun or partial shade.
Heavenly Blue Bells (4″-6″) Plant 4″ deep, 3″ apart in sun or partial shade.
Hyacinths (8″-10″) Plant 5″ deep, 6″ apart in full sun.
Iris (12″) Plant 4″ deep, 4″ apart in loosened soil.
Lilies (3′-4′) Plant 4″ deep, 6″ apart.
Paper White Narcissus (16″-18″) Plant indoors in soil, stones, or sand (any medium that will support root growth). Plant with top of bulb just above soil, or with water level at base of bulb.
Purple Drumstick (2′-3′) Plant 4″ deep, 4 – 6″ apart in full sun.
Striped Squill (4″-6″) Plant 3″ deep, 3″ apart in full sun or partial shade.
Tulips (18″-30″) Plant 6″ deep, 6″ apart in well-drained soil. Likes sun.
Windflowers (5″) Plant 2″ deep, 2 – 4″ apart in full sun.
